General Introduction
Microcomputer Insulation Monitors are widely used in DC operation power supply
system of power plants, substations and industrial enterprises to monitor the insulation
status of DC system, including bus-bar voltage, bus-to-ground insulation status,
self-monitoring of AC leakage voltage at bus-bar, alarming and DC feed
branch-to-ground insulation status and so on.
Microcomputer Insulation Monitor ATCWZJ5-HL-Y is an upgrading product
developed by our company independently through years of summarizing operation
and maintenance experiences. Each functional unit equipped by modular structure,
and the basic configuration is composed by the host, the current transmitter and CT
acquisition module. The function of the host is to detect positive and negative DC
bus-to-ground voltage, and get the positive and negative bus-to-ground insulation
resistance by calculating the voltages. When the insulation resistance is under the
alarm value, the branch inspection function will start automatically. The branch
leakage current is detected by active CT, without injecting signals into the bus. The
leakage current detection of all branches work at the same time, and the signals are
seized and then sent by CT to the acquisition module. The signals will be converted
into digital signals directly in the internal of CT acquisition module and then uploaded
by CPU (contained in each module) to the microcomputer insulation monitor host
through serial port. Increasing CT and acquisition module can make it convenient to
extend the detecting branch number, and we can also choose to increase the Sub or CT
driver to achieve the expand of branches far from the host. The data transmission
between the Sub or CT driver and the host is also through serial port. This branch
detection has the characteristics of high accuracy, fast speed and strong anti-jamming
capability, and it is a new breakthrough in many techniques such as reliability and
applicability, which successfully solved many disadvantages of DC grounding
detection device, including misstatement, omission, slow speed, too much wiring,
difficult installation and maintenance and inconvenient expansion. Integrated
